The LWVPFA will be meeting to discuss program planning for 2009-2011.

Program Planning

The LWVPFA will be discussing program planning for 2009 - 2011 and making recommendations on current positions to the League of Women Voters of Illinois on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at the Park Forest Library beginning at 2:15 pm.

The areas that we will decide to retain, restudy/update or drop are:

GOVERNMENT (Constitutional Implementation, County Government Structure, Criminal Justice, Death Penalty, State Election Laws, Gun Violence Prevention, Schools, State Fiscal Policy, and State Redisstricting).

NATURAL RESOURCES (Land Use, Large-Scale Livestock Facilities and Pesticides).

SOCIAL POLICY (Children's Services, Immigration, Income Assistance, and Mental Health)
